PHARR – The Pharr exit ramp (146A) from westbound I-2 will be closed for six months beginning Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Motorists needing to access this area from westbound I-2 will need to utilize the Veterans Boulevard exit ramp (147A).

Additional mobile operations will take place next week, March 7, 2021 – March 12, 2021. Details are included below.

Nightly, Sunday, March 7, 2021 – Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Traffic will be intermittently slowed on the I-2 eastbound and westbound main lanes between Cesar Chavez Road in San Juan and 2nd Street in McAllen. The mobile operation is necessary to provide a safe work zone for crews clearing debris from the main lane shoulder.

Nightly, Sunday, March 7, 2021 – Friday, March 12, 2021 from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Various lane closures will take place on the I-2 westbound frontage road and ramps between Cesar Chavez Road in San Juan and the Sugar Road exit ramp in Pharr. The closures are necessary to provide a safe work zone for crews installing concrete barriers.

Nightly, Monday, March 8, 2021 – Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The I-2 westbound frontage road will be fully closed between Cage Boulevard and TxDOT Road in Pharr. The full closure is necessary to provide a safe work zone for crews constructing a column. Detour signs will be in place to direct traffic.

Nightly, Tuesday, March 9, 2021 – Friday, March 12, 2021 from 10:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The I-2 westbound frontage road will be fully closed between Veterans Boulevard and Cage Boulevard in Pharr. The full closure is necessary to provide a safe work zone for crews installing striping and concrete barriers. Detour signs will be in place to direct traffic.

Nightly, Wednesday, March 10, 2021 – Friday, March 12, 2021 from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Traffic will be intermittently slowed on the I-69C northbound and southbound main lanes between I-2 and Nolana Loop in Pharr. The mobile operation is necessary to provide a safe work zone for crews clearing debris from the main lane shoulder. All work is weather permitting.

Drivers are reminded to stay alert and slowdown in roadwork zones, to be aware of lane closures and alternate routes, and to follow all traffic control updates.
