It seems as though 2019 has come to a close way too fast. We are just about halfway through our season and it has been great getting to know you better. It has been a pleasure working with you to help serve you and get the news you want to read.
This holiday season I have seen parks go out of their way to make sure others have a nice holiday. It has been eye opening in seeing how many of you are so willing to give to the communities you reside in while in the Valley.
Our feature this week is about the good work that Paradise Park in Harlingen did for two organizations – in a fairly short time. Other parks mentioned in this issue is Orange Grove, Alamo Rec, and the FCRV WT Chapter. On the Road with Jo even mentions a few parks like Fun N Sun, park Place Estates and Bentsen Grove.
Previous issue mentioned Retama Village, the work parks do with Toys for Tots and Operation Christmas Child, McAllen Elks Lodge and others.
You are truly a gift to the needy families and children of the Rio Grande Valley. These instances are just a few of the things you do for Valley residents and those across the border and in other countries. I am sure this is just a part of what you do for us and the communities you call home during the winter.
Keep your ideas and story items coming into us. We love hearing what you are doing in your community and for our communities. Please send news items, ideas, to news@wintertexantimes.com
We are so very thankful for you!
