ITheatre at the Tower opens for Auditions this week, Tuesday, September 5th and Thursday, September 7th from 6:30PM-8PM, located at 120 S. Kansas, Weslaco, TX 78596. This season’s production is “The Invasion of Earth as it began in Grover’s Mill, New Jersey” by J.R. Mimbs.
“The play is based around the infamous 1938 radio broadcast of The War of the Worlds. This event caused widespread panic because many people believed that it was real news. The play is focused on how people react to this event. Some, panic some turn on each other and others hold on to their humanity. Almost 100 years later and it is still a good reflection of ourselves” shared Steve Urbina, Director of ITheatre.
